About Gnosis
The word “gnosis” is a Greek word, γνῶσις, meaning “knowledge” and it indicates a particular type of knowing: direct experience of an intuitive and experiential knowing. This knowledge is realized through one’s own consciousness and not from intellectual reasoning or theories. We offer practical courses and exercises of progressive study and practice to help develop gnosis within us. As we come to this internal gnosis, we not only heal ourselves, but can seek to work towards the Gnostic goal: the happiness of all Beings.

Throughout time, there have been teachings regarding conscious awakening, led by prophets, wise women and men, and masters. These teachings have laid the ground for the various religions of the earth, but in time those teachings slowly became reinterpreted by followers without conscious awakening.
Sitting at the foot of a Jesus, Buddha, Moses, Muhammad, etc. is very different than attending a service in those names thousands of years later. The consciousness that the initiators of those religions posessed allowed them to have thier own "gnosis" or conscious knowledge of spiritual truths. That gnosis arose in thier own Beings and was not just an imitation of others or an intellectual understanding.
There have been multiple men and women who have awakened to thier own gnosis. A recent example is gnostic master Samael Aun Weor, who awakened to his own Being and taught others how to before disincarnating December 24th, 1977.
We are an school providing the gnostic teachings of Samael Aun Weor to the Tacoma area. While the teachings in themselves are not the gnosis, they give practical exercises for the awakening of your consciousness to obtain gnosis. They are for anyone of goodwill who sincerely seeks to the truth of his/her own Being. There are no fees for the classes, but anyone is welcome to donate.
Our school provides a public series of 33 classes to give (at least intellectually) these teachings for anyone interested.
