About Gnosis
The word “gnosis” is a Greek word, γνῶσις, meaning “knowledge” and it indicates a particular type of knowing: direct experience of an intuitive and experiential knowing. This knowledge is realized through one’s own consciousness and not from intellectual reasoning or theories. We offer practical courses and exercises of progressive study and practice to help develop gnosis within us. As we come to this internal gnosis, we not only heal ourselves, but can seek to work towards the Gnostic goal: the happiness of all Beings.

Public Class:
Hermeticism as a virtue of loving Divinity & humanity
February 21st & March 7th, 7 - 8:30pm, open to the public
Hermeticism often refers to ancient philosphical or religious traditions based on the teachings of Hermes Trismegistis. However, the main context of hermeticism that we will explore in these three Gnostic classes will be through the understanding of building a psychological crucible within oneself. The term "hermetically sealed" portrays the theme of these classes.
While communicating and expressing ourselves can be very healthy and important psychological/spiritual principals, Gnosis also teaches the importance of having a sacred inner life, that is allowed to slowly develop, protected like an embryo within its mother's womb. This series of classes will give an explanation of what this psycho/spiritual hermeticism is, how it allows us to love Divinity and humanity, and how we can practice it. Each class consists of a lecture, opportunity for discussion, and meditation practice.
We are an esoteric school providing Gnostic teachings to the Tacoma area. These teachings give practical exercises for the awakening of our consciousness. They are for anyone who sincerely seeks to the truth of his/her own Being. There are no fees for the classes, but anyone is welcome to donate.
